The Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) is a prominent zonal referral and teaching hospital located at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro in Moshi, Tanzania. Opened in March 1971 by the Good Samaritan Foundation, it has grown from a local medical project into a massive healthcare complex serving over 11 to 15 million people across northern Tanzania. As one of the country’s four major zonal consultant hospitals, it provides essential specialized services, including oncology, urology, and a new cardiac treatment unit slated to open in 2027.
