The International School of Tanganyika (IST) is a premier, non-profit educational institution in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Founded in 1963, shortly after Tanganyika gained independence, it has grown into one of Africa’s most prestigious international schools. It operates across two specialized campuses: an Elementary campus in Upanga and a Secondary campus on the Masaki Peninsula, together serving roughly 1,000 students from over 60 nationalities. As a fully authorized IB World School, IST provides the complete International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum.
