Kairuki Hospital originally founded in 1987 as Mission Mikocheni Hospital, is one of Tanzania’s premier private medical facilities. Established by the late Professor Hubert Kairuki and his wife, Mrs. Kokushubira Kairuki, the institution was born from a vision to provide high quality, accessible healthcare and to alleviate the burden on public health systems. Over the decades, it has evolved from a modest 30-bed maternity unit into a comprehensive general hospital with a capacity of over 150 beds, serving approximately 600 outpatients daily. The hospital is a cornerstone of medical education in the region, serving as the primary teaching hospital for Kairuki University (formerly Hubert Kairuki Memorial University) and the Kairuki School of Nursing. This academic affiliation ensures that patient care is integrated with the latest medical research and training. Its wide range of services includes specialized departments in internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and women’s health, alongside advanced diagnostic capabilities such as MRI, CT scans, and HIFU technology for non invasive tumor treatment. In recent years, the hospital has expanded its reach through the Kairuki Green IVF center, providing specialized fertility solutions, and continues to offer community focused initiatives like mobile reproductive and child health (RCH) clinics.
