JOB VACANCY: FINANCE & GRANTS MANAGER
Location: Dar es Salaam
Reports to: Head of Finance and Administration
Contract Duration: One Year (renewable based on performance)
TEN/MET is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance & Grants Manager to provide strategic leadership in managing our financial operations and grant portfolio. This critical role ensures that funds are managed with integrity, budgets are executed efficiently, and grants and sub-grants comply with donor regulations, organizational policies, and Tanzanian laws.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership across the full grants cycle (planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and close-out).

Develop high-quality proposals and compliant budgets in collaboration with program, finance, and MEL teams.

Ensure compliance with donor regulations, national laws, and internal financial policies.

Oversee day-to-day grant operations, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.

Maintain robust internal controls and conduct regular compliance checks.

Review and finalize sub-grantee proposals, budgets, contracts, and agreements.

Support internal and external audits with accurate, audit-ready financial documentation.

Build internal and partner capacity in grants management, compliance, and reporting.

Ensure preparation of financial statements in line with IPSAS and other regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s degree and CPA (T)/ACPA highly desirable).

Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in senior finance or grants management roles within non-profit or development settings.

Strong expertise in budgeting, donor compliance, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in financial systems such as Odoo ERP or QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.

Knowledge of IPSAS, GAAP, and donor audit requirements.

Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
