The African Initiatives for Relief and Development (AIRD) is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit making NGO. AIRD’s objective is to offer operational technical support, including but not limited supply chain, logistics and infrastructure in partnership with relief and development organizations that fasted and development-oriented affected, poverty-. AIRD delivers for and through partners including but not limited to UN Agencies, international and national donor organizations and governments. (AIRD does not tolerate sexual exploitation and abuse, any kind of harassment, including harassment, and discrimination. Selected candidates will, therefore, undergo background checks). Operating in some of the continent’s most complex and challenging contexts, AIRD implements solutions that are locally responsive and globally aligned. The organization currently supports humanitarian efforts in Burkina Faso, the Central African Republic, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Cameroon, the Republic of Congo, Niger, Liberia, Tanzania, South Sudan, Uganda, and Côte d’Ivoire. Our mission is to enable the compassionate movement of those displaced by natural or man-made disasters to safety, and provide them and their host communities with opportunities to build their lives and thrive for the long term.
