The Institute of Internal Auditors is a global leader in certification, education, research, and technological guidance for the internal audit profession. It is the only institution that provides universally applicable International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and a Code of Ethics to promote ethical culture. IIA Tanzania brings together internal audit professionals across Tanzania. Registered since 2006, it advocates for the IPPF framework and globally recognized certifications like CIA, CCSA, CFSA, CGAP, CRMA, and QIAL. IIA Tanzania is governed by a Board of Directors elected by its members. The board consists of ten key leaders including the President, Vice President, and committee chairpersons. Committees include: Nominations & Ethics, Audit & Risk, Research & Advisory, Quality Assurance & Technical, and Advocacy. The permanent Secretariat, led by the CEO, supports operations.
